Malls of Cagayan de Oro for the preppy visitor

For those who'd rather lounge inside air-conditioned malls to escape the heat, sipping a starbucks latte while stroling around window shopping, Cagayan  de Oro has high end malls that could satisfy your needs.
Limketkai mall is one of the oldest existing malls of the city, but don't let its age fool you; It is one of the biggest malls in Mindanao (by lot size) and updates its stores constantly. it is in Limketkai that the first Starbucks and Mcdonalds of the city was established. Limketkai drive, the surrounding commercial spaces of the mall, is full of restaurants, KTV bars, nightclubs, spas, and other amenities that you could enjoy.
SM city Cagayan de Oro is relatively new, and is just like any regular SM mall. it is located nearby Xavier Heights, and is strategically placed nearby the high end subdivisions such as PhilamLife, and condominiums. plans to expand SM into the inner heart of the city are underway.

the newest Mall of the City and the most luxurious Mall to come to the City is Ayala Centrio, and Ayala mall. here you can find all the high end amenities and restaurants you need. branded and imported stores of fashion, food, health, and lifestyle are found within this Mall. An adjacent hotel and luxury condominium, Seda hotel, is located just right beside the Mall. it is also in this Mall where the only Rustans in Northern Mindanao is found.

Cagayan de Oro is most famous for its white water rafting excursions. White Water Rafting is the most lucrative tourism attraction of the city, as the Cagayn River boasts huge water rapids upstream that is great for the adventurous traveller. Not only will the adventurer experience the adrenaline rush of a watery roller coaster ride, but also enjoy the scenic views of the more rural and hidden parts of the river such as streams, caves, and scenic rocky alcoves.
the most iconic and oldest religious structure in Cagayan de Oro City is the St. Augustine Cathedral, dedicated to St. Augustine, the patron saint of the city. the Cathedral was built during the Spanish colonial period, but was then destroyed by American air raid attacks during World War II. the Cathedral that stands today is merely a reconstruction of the Original Cathedral destroyed during the great war.
